Object Access Protection

DualCurtain Outdoor monitors the perimeter without restricting people’s movement inside. Two independent optical systems with narrow viewing sectors and flexible settings allow for precise definition of the protected area up to 30 meters long—eliminating potential sources of false alarms from the sensor’s field of view. The unique ELSA software algorithm filters out interference and false triggers caused by animals, instantly responding to human presence.

Engineering Precision

The sensor is equipped with two optical systems on its sides, each featuring two IR sensors with narrow viewing sectors. Detection accuracy remains consistently high thanks to temperature compensation. Sensor signals are analyzed by our proprietary ELSA algorithm. The alarm is triggered only when both sensors in the same system simultaneously detect a signal characteristic of human movement.

Efficiency in Close Range

DualCurtain Outdoor employs a unique technology among outdoor curtain-type detectors that extends the protected zone. When the "Close-Range Detection" mode is activated, the upper IR sensor gains an additional narrow viewing sector directed 40 degrees downward relative to the main sector. This mode allows both sensors to detect movement when a person crosses the protected perimeter near the device itself, eliminating the typical blind spot of such sensors. "Close-Range Detection" mode is designed to protect windows and other entry points inaccessible to animals. The close alignment of detection zone vectors significantly reduces pet immunity effectiveness.

One Housing – Two Independent Detectors

The detection range of the two optical systems can be adjusted independently, allowing for precise configuration of the DualCurtain Outdoor perimeter. This helps prevent false alarms caused by swaying bushes or pedestrians on public sidewalks. To prevent obstructions like columns or drainpipes from blocking the sensor’s view, the optical systems can be tilted vertically. Sensitivity can be adjusted or one of the optical systems can be deactivated through the app.

Resilience Against Attacks

DualCurtain Outdoor cannot be blinded or disabled unnoticed, even when Ajax is disarmed. The sensor’s optical systems are reinforced with advanced masking sensors that detect obstacles, covering, or painting over the housing. A tamper switch prevents unauthorized removal from its mount. Even if the sensor is destroyed instantly, the hub will detect the loss of connection within a minute and notify the security console and users of the issue.

Thanks to low power consumption, DualCurtain Outdoor operates for years on its included batteries. It also provides timely alerts to the security console and users when maintenance is required.

Hassle-Free Installation

The setup and installation process of DualCurtain Outdoor is designed to save the installer’s time. To add the sensor to the system, simply scan the QR code using the Ajax app, assign it a name and a room. Configuration is done in real time via the app, utilizing detection zone and connection tests. If necessary, the sensor can be disabled or its system parameters reconfigured remotely, without the need to visit the protected site.
