General Description The EN54 I/O Module (2X2) is a professional wireless integration module designed to enhance the capabilities of Ajax fire safety systems. The device fully complies with European standards EN 54-18 and EN 54-25. The module allows for the integration of third-party equipment into the Ajax system and the control of executive devices, providing flexibility when building complex fire protection infrastructures.

Functionality and Inputs/Outputs The device is equipped with two inputs and two outputs. The inputs allow the connection of third-party wired detectors or buttons, making them part of the wireless Ajax system. The outputs (relays) are used to control external equipment such as electromagnetic locks, smoke extraction valves, elevators, or public address systems. This enables the automation of security scenarios upon fire detection.

Reliability and Communication The module operates via the secure Jeweller radio protocol, ensuring stable communication with the hub at a range of up to 1,700 meters. The device is protected against jamming and encrypts all transmitted data. In the event of an alarm or a change in input state, information is transmitted to the hub instantly. The enclosure is protected by a tamper switch to prevent unauthorized opening.
